Hurricane IAN šcame in and out of my Florida town with a vengeance of wich I've never experienced before.
I watched this storm bring out the best in people š« and of course a few their worstš but if I think about it may be they too are just scared.
I've been humbled by God to be part of a church that we helped make hot food & send supplied, we delivered š» to families that have no more and have been living in tents š at the end of their flooded and impassable roads.
Me, We are well... We Got back into my house after 10 days.
(My subdivision was surrounded by rushing flood waters on all 4 sides & the military kept us out.)
But we are still in the cone of uncertainty down here.
The Homeowners adjuster came and went, Fema inspector is not set up yet.
(I'm still waiting for that phone call.)
We have structural cracking & interior damage as well as minor outer damage.
My watershed was blown away and the water system was sucked apart. The local well company was awesome and re-hooked me right away on our return to raw water so we can flush toilets, need new parts for the softener so, for now, it's yellow frothy water. STINKYš¤¢.
But we get drinking water in bottles from the disaster assistance groups š
(I pray thanksgiving to these lovely rescue workers š)
My home didn't like getting bounced and thrownš¤Ŗšš¤Ŗ
(thank GOD for ground tie downs or else my house may have landed somewhere elseš)
The camper was claimed a total loss š
Jeep and truck scheduled to be in shop one after the other.
So much work is still to be done....
(I think I'll be cutting down & damaged trees for more then a year)

SILL Overwhelmed sometimes, But I'm smiling and thankful that God has kept me safe and around still to fulfill my journey š
"WHY?...WHY NOT!"
( Cuz' I'm feeling Blessed beyond measure!)
